Learn HTML Using Notepad or TextEdit
If we talk about editor for HTML language, there are plenty of editors which can helps us to write better code with standards. For example, Notepad, notepad++, sublime, VsCode and many more.
However, for learning purpose we recommend a basic text editor like Notepad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac) because they do not have syntax highlighter or any auto suggestions, so you developer have to remember all the code style and syntax.
Everyone is believes that using a simple and basic editor is good way to learn any language
Please follow the steps below to create your first web page with Notepad or TextEdit.
Step 1: Open Notepad (PC)
Windows 8 or later:
Open the Start Screen by clicking the window button in bottom left on your screen. and then type Notepad.
Windows 7 or earlier:
Open Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad
Step 2: Open TextEdit (Mac)
Open Finder > Applications > TextEdit
Also change some preferences to get the application to save files correctly. In Preferences > Format > choose “Plain Text”
Then under “Open and Save”, check the box that says “Display HTML files as HTML code instead of formatted text”.
Then open a new document to place the code.

Step 3: Save the HTML Page
Now we need to save file in our computer at particular folder. So this, you need to press ctrl+s key to save a file.
After pressing this key, it will ask you to give file name and extension. Name the file something like Index.html and set encoding UTF-8,
Now your HTML page is read to be rendered into browser.
Step 4: View the HTML Page in Your Browser
Now we want to open the saved file into a browser to see how it is looking. Click on right click on that file, and open file in an installed browser on your system.
You will see something like this.
